Back to Work
Last night was a good night, Chris, Jamie, Melissa and I went to see Miami Vice. It was fun to all hang out but the movie wasn't that great at all. It was really slow in a lot of places. After work tonight Melissa said she would pick me up to go to a late dinner. I think we are going to try for Old Spaghetti Factory. Its got good food and we always have a good time when we go, I'm looking forward to hanging out for a bit. Anastasia's b-day is on the 5th. I got part of her present today and I'm hoping it will get to Hawaii on time. It should but the way to post system working in Hawaii you never know.

95% Better
I have to thank Melissa for bringing me medication and soups. It was a busy day but she managed to spend some time with me. It was very nice and I can't thank her enough. Anastasia deserves a thank you too. She came over with hot tea and honey and a full box of teas for me. She and I were able to catch up a bit. With both visits I wasn't doing much talking but it was very nice of both of them.
This coming week is a short one (17 hours) so I'm hoping to catch up on things with all my friends. I want to see a few movies and have a few dinners. Anastasia, Jamie, and Melissa had all invited me to the movies and or dinner over the last week and I feel bad that I had to decline. Now that I'm soon to be all better I will have to invite them all out :-)

Unexpected Dinner
I'm off to an unexpected dinner with Melissa. We are going to the Harbor Pub. Its a nice little pub near where Melissa lives. Their food is well prices and very tasty. Its a nice atmosphere to hang out in too. On my way I bike through AlaMoana Beach park and took some pictures :-) The scenery makes it a nice ride into Waikiki.
This is the start of the beach... Its a nice view I think.
Almost 1/2 through the park. You can start to see the edge of Waikiki and further on you can see Diamond Head.
This is the end of the park. You can see the AlaMoana boat docks and a bunch of hotels behind them.
Melissa meeting me for dinner. She is carrying her snake board, its a odd kind of skateboard.
Hello World
Saturday was a big day for Melissa. She teaches art to kindergarten kids during a summer program. This week as the last for the program and the school put on a art show. There is work from all ages and all kinds of items from clay sculptures to drawing and painting to you name it. I went in the early afternoon to see Melissa and the show. Later in the evening I went to see a movie, Lady in the Water, with Melissa. I had thought the movie was going to be a scary but it turned out to be a nice story. There were one or two moments of suspense, but there were more funny and enjoyable moments.
Sunday was nice. I met up with Anastasia in the morning for coffee and chatting around 9. We hung out right till I start work at about 1130 or so. Anastasia has been nice enough to come downtown in the mornings to Aloha Towers, I know its a bit of a trip that early on Sunday. Its a nice time though, we can sit outside the shops and talk for a bit. Work on Sunday is always a little slow. Not many people came to the lab so I played on the computer and texted some friends.

Feeling better.
Me in Waikiki, Melissa took the picture. I've been feeling alot better today than I have in the past week. Having a great time out and about. Melissa says Aloha.
Greetings
Anyway, Superman was a really good movie. I would highly recommend it to everyone. There are some things I think I saw wrong as far as story-line from the first movies go, but I might just be mad :-) The other night Jamie had me over for a movie at her place. We watched Shakespeare in Love. Wow, that's a really good movie too. Its a definite tragic love story, but it is really well done. The evening was very nice, we got to catch up on a bit of life and had a nice time.
Last night Anastasia called and we talked for a little bit. She was at Indigos, a club/bar/restraunt place in town. Having been in a down and out mood I stayed home but it was nice to chat. We are getting together for coffee tomorrow.
Today I'm off shopping with Melissa. I need some new cloths, pants and manybe a nice shirt or two to go out in. Dad got me a lot of stuff while I was in Australia so I have mostly new stuff as is, but I've put on a good bit of weight sense I quit smoking. Anyway I'm meeting her in an hour or so to walk around the mall maybe grab dinner too. Tonight I've been invited to Detox by Melissa so will probably head there too.
That's the big stuff for the past few days. The only other thing that's sticking out is my rather painfull burn. A motorbike was parked next to my bike in the bikerack. When I unlocked mine, my leg hit the exhaust of the motorbike. Let me tell you that feels great :-]

Superman Night
Tonight Jamie, Melissa and myself are getting together for dinner and a movie. We have all been looking forward to seeing Superman Returns for awhile now. Now that I'm a member of the theater we can get the reserved seats up front by the railing. Makes a nice place to put up your feet and it gives a very nice view of the screen. Should prove to be a fun night.

Dinner at Ward
This is one me my local hangouts. Its about a 25 min. bike ride to get here from where i live. There is the movie theater, some shops and a few nice places to eat. It's also right across the street from the beach. I'm waiting for Anastasia to come so we can grab a bite. We might go to Ku'aina, a great little burger place on the corner (would be behind me while i took the picture)

Good End to a Good Week
Detox was ok for the most part. The music was good and the company was nice. We stayed till the closing at 2:00am. Melissa and I said goodbye to Jamie and friends to head off to our bikes. After getting to the bikes we sat down for a second and 2 hours later (just a quick nap on the sidewalk, Melissa was exhausted) we went our separate ways home.
Today should be relaxing, there really isn't much going on. I have to work from noon till 5 and after that I don't have plans. Most likely I'll just head home for some TV. I'm hoping to get the schedule for next week today. Its my 17 hour week so I should have a nice bit of free time to play (summer and no classes is rather nice). I want to get a movie night together with friends, a dinner with Jamie, a dinner with Melissa and maybe workout getting tickets to a play. They are performing "The King and I" at the concert hall. Other than that no real plans for the week.

First Friday
Tonight is the first friday of the month, that means downtown Honolulu will actually be open late. There is a nice sized art community here and all the galleries are open late. They have snaks and drinks at most. People just walk around looking at the different galleries all night. I've gone a few times and I might stop by tonight before or after Detox.

Fireworks!
To start the night off Mellisa and I went to the bar and had a couple beers. Around 8:00 we headed out for the show. I know its a bit fuzzy but the fireworks were great. We went to the top of the mall's parking lot and listened to a local band before watching the show. The display was 20 min. long. All in all it was a great night out.

Sunday At Work
Well its sunday afternoon and I'm at work. As you can imagine there arn't many people that come in on Sunday during the summer. There may be 4 or 5 the whole day. Its relaxing though as I can play on the internet.
