Sunday Fun

I was playing a computer game on Sunday afternoon at around 3:00pm when I got a bit of a pain in my chest. It moved from there into my abdomen and got a lot worse. I ended up curled in a ball on the floor in about a minute after it started. After that came the sweating, I went from dry to drenched in about 30 seconds. After about 15 minutes of that I called 911 as it wasn't letting up.

By the time I got to the hospital I was feeling considerably better. They hooked me up to the heart monitor and whatnot. The docs were checking to see is I had a heart-attack. I didn't. I was there for about an hour before the pain was gone. The monitored me for another hour before it all came back. Defiantly not a good night.

I got my first dose of Morphine and things got better, but I still had a nice dull pain in my abdomen. They were concerned that it could be my gallbladder or my appendix. The pain got all kinds of worse again about 5 minutes after I had my x-ray so they gave me a second does of morphine. I felt no pain at that point. After the shot they rolled in and ultrasound system and took a look that way. I was also drinking some stuff so I could get a CAT scan. Not bad tasting but not great either.

Nothing unusual on the x-ray or the ultrasound. I waited for an hour for my CAT scan and then another 2 hours after before I found out. Nothing was wrong with me :-) Based on the blood work they took earlier I had a high white blood cell count. Means my body was fighting an infection of some kind, but its not a specific marker for any one thing. I'm also low of phosphates which means I need to drink milk and eat more green leafy food.

At 11:00pm I was on my way home. All in all it was an, um, fun(?) night... heh. For now I have 2 prescriptions to take on an as needed bases and 1 to take daily for awhile. the daily one is for acid-reflux which is a possible cause, the others are for pain and nausea.

Chris stopped in while i was in the ER, he knew what was going on when I just left the game and didn't come back. I was texting Melissa while I was in the ER too. It nice to have some friends here to help out when ya need it :-)
